Job Description

Application Specialist
Location: Roseland, NJ

This position is responsible for effectively supporting the existing Acquire Media account base through proactively identifying end-user needs and providing customer training on a wide ranging product portfolio. This position will also include managing and growing revenue from a predetermined group of Accounts through developing and maintaining strong business relationships.

    Responsibilities include:
  • To acquire detailed in-depth knowledge of Acquire Media products and services and to keep that knowledge up-to-date
  • To collaborate with Account Management to provide customer training in the form of tailored training sessions at customer’s own premises, and to organize customer visits efficiently
  • To report back from customer training sessions; recording customer feedback, gathering customer intelligence and actioning follow-up as required
  • To liaise with the customer base through office-based and face to face contact and proactively steer relationships towards strategic partnership status
  • To maintain customer satisfaction with all Acquire Media services and functions

    Required Skills (expert knowledge):
  • Excellent customer support/sales skills including the ability to create and build relationships. Demonstrated track record of success and established relationships
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, ability to multitask and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills with the ability to successfully manage expectations
  • Ability to work independently on multiple activities, showing appropriate prioritization and escalation skills

    Desired Skills (exposure to):
  • Knowledge of the online information industry, online media business, and underlying technologies
  • Customer Service Orientated
  • Committed to maintain & improve standards
  • Flexible and a team player
  • Independent & motivated

    Required Background:
  • BA, BS Required
  • 2 - 3 years of working experience in a similar capacity within the online information industry. Online Financial and/or Media industry will be preferred
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience, longer a plus, in a customer facing position with some sales responsibility (ideally from within the online news and current awareness industry)
