MCT, a true pioneer in the media industry, needed to replace its existing system for handling and routing the overwhelming volume of "raw material" features and news stories. The key was to add value to the incoming news with tagging, enhanced markup, and efficient desktop routing without breaking the bank. Also, there was a desire to allow the individual newspapers to search and re-transmit stories by themselves, 24/7.
